Samos is the closest Greek island to the Turkish coast . It has two tall mountains, the slopes of which support large pine forests and centuries old vineyards - some of which are located 800 metres above the Aegean sea. While in Samos, it is possible to go on a tour of these vineyards, and wind up with a visit to The Samos Wine Museum.
