Leros is a small and pretty island and perhaps because of its size that it has managed to go all but unnoticed by mass tourism. All the better: Leros has been able to preserve much of its traditional way of life... so if you are looking for an outing, head for Platanos to enjoy some nightlife beneath the ruins of a massive 15th century fortress.
